Gratitude Is Our Anchor

This gathering began with a simple question:

What helps us stay steady when everything around us feels uncertain?

For many educators during March and April 2026 the answer was not found in policy updates, timelines, or announcements.

It was found in one another.

With that in mind, we created an intentional morning together as a community pause - not a workshop, not a training session, and not an event in the usual sense.

Just a space to breathe. Together.

The theme we chose was Gratitude is our anchor.

When uncertainty persists around us, our attention naturally shifts outward toward what might change, what might be lost, or what is still unknown.

Gratitude brings us back to what is already here.

To the children we serve. To the colleagues who stand beside us. To the quiet courage we carry into our classrooms each day, and to the shared purpose that continues to guide our work even when circumstances shift

This was a morning about returning to that centre.

Across the Let’s Talk Early Years community, we have seen again and again how connection becomes the stabilizing force in moments like these.

This gathering simply made space for that connection to be felt.
