Our Community Is Asking For Support Right Now

Dear colleagues,

Over the past few days, I’ve been checking in with many of you through conversations, messages, and a short poll I shared on Instagram.

The message coming through very clearly from our early years community right now is this:

Well-being is the biggest challenge we are facing.

Leaders are holding teams.
Educators are holding children and their own families, too.
And many are doing this while carrying uncertainty themselves.

For this reason, I’m sharing an important reflection from Dr. Laura Holland, whose blog reminds us that children are not the only ones who feel change in the emotional climate around them -adults do too, and regulation begins with us.

It felt like the right piece to share this week.

Alongside this, we’re creating a small opportunity to come together in person this Saturday morning for a gentle community yoga session with Yoga Bears -simply a quiet space for early years educators to pause, breathe and reconnect with one another.

I see you. I hear you. And I know this is not an easy season for our sector.
